The Italian League for the Fight against Cancer (LILT) is a nonprofit public association for cancer prevention. LILT's commitment to the fight against cancer is mainly on three fronts: primary prevention (styles and habits of life), secondary prevention (promotion of a culture of early diagnosis) and services for the patient and his family. The goal of LILT is to build a network of solidarity, security and information around the cancer patient.
Lilt Milano had a very old institutional website, and a second e-commerce website, also dated, to collect online donation.
The client requested the support of MazzMedia to unify the two web sites of the organization, completely redesigning the user experience and refining the information architecture and the content plan.
The key point of the intervention requested was the analysis and redesign of the information architecture and the development of the new editorial strategy and plan.
After the first intense activity of collecting and comparing existing content, a close team work between the client and MazzMedia team led to the reorganization of categories and types of existing content, to improve the usability of the information and to guarantee search engine optimization.
The inputs and results gathered from the above activities were essential to define the user (personas), the fundamental steps in the customer journey and the most useful features to guarantee the best user experience. This output was incorporated into the prototyping and design phase, where sketches and wireframes of the new visual identity were created. Wireframe and prototypes resulted to be very useful tools to validate with the client assumptions, ideas and creative hypotheses before the development phase.
Once wireframes and prototypes were approved, the visual layouts of the main template pages have been developed, both for mobile and desktop versions.
In addition, various visual assets were designed to support the new site and the new content structure.
A web development project that focuses on speed, security and personalization, to offer a unique user experience and to respond to user needs.
